ART 480 - Advanced New Media 4 Hour(s) Credit Perform an in-depth investigation of contemporary digital practices through creative production, critical inquiry, and community engagement. Centered on the development of professional-level artworks for the Senior Exhibition in the University Gallery, learn advanced techniques in animation, video production, sound design, and interactive media. Work with professional software and hardware tools while engaging in critical discussions of historical and contemporary digital art. A Civic and Community Engagement component involves teaching new media art to children at the Newton Community Center and reflecting on this experience. Six hours per week Meets General Education: Civic and Community Engagement (CCE) Prerequisites Three of the following: ART 313 , ART 383 , ART 384 , ART 385 , ART 386 , ART 387 , ART 399 May be taken three times for a maximum of 12 credits.
