ART 480 - Advanced New Media

Perform an in-depth investigation of contemporary digital practices through creative production, critical inquiry, and community engagement. Centered on the development of professional-level artworks for the Senior Exhibition in the University Gallery, learn advanced techniques in animation, video production, sound design, and interactive media. Work with professional software and hardware tools while engaging in critical discussions of historical and contemporary digital art. A Civic and Community Engagement component involves teaching new media art to children at the Newton Community Center and reflecting on this experience.
Six hours per week
