Creative Writing Minor

Advisement for the minor is available from the English  Department.

This minor helps students gain expertise in the field of creative writing. Students are exposed to craft mechanics, workshop mechanics, editing practices, publishing practices, reading practices, and a wide range of contemporary writing and professionalizaion opportunities. Students also have the ability to explore a genre of their choice in depth.

University Undergraduate Minor Policies


Salisbury University minors require:

  • The completion of at least 18 credits with grades of C or better.
  • At least 15 credits applied toward the minor must be coursework that is not used to satisfy General Education requirements.
  • At least 9 credits must be earned at SU.
