The minor in public health complements any program of study, allowing students to learn the key processes in public health, including policy, program planning and evaluation, health communication, and advocacy. Courses in the minor align with the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) competencies and students wishing to take the credentialing exam to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (NCHEC) can use credits in the minor toward their eligibility.
