Advisement for the minor is available from the Management Department Effective managers motivate their employees to be productive, keep them motivated and satisfied at work, and ensure that they stay with the organization. Irrespective of field of study, many may be called upon to manage in their organizations and social groups. Learn the perspective of the manager to be a more effective employee. The human resource management minor helps prepare students in the areas of job analysis, recruitment and selection, employee compensation, training and development, performance management, legal compliance, and management of complex employment relationships. - All courses in the minor must be completed with a grade of C or better, including transfer credits.
- Minor track candidates cannot take a course P/F .
- The human resource management minor is open to any non-management major.
- The minor requires 21 credit hours, any of which may be used to fulfill other degree requirements.
- The Perdue School allows course substitutions only when a particular course has not been offered in two consecutive semesters.

University Undergraduate Minor Policies
Salisbury University minors require:
- The completion of at least 18 credits with grades of C or better.
- At least 15 credits applied toward the minor must be coursework that is not used to satisfy General Education requirements.
- At least 9 credits must be earned at SU.
