Applied Linguistics Minor

Advisement for the minor is available from the English Department.
- Students must complete 5 courses in the department beyond the course used to fulfill the literature requirement.
- At least 3 of the courses used for the minor must be taken at SU.
- A minimum of 3 courses must be taken at the 300/400 level.
- A grade of C or better is required in courses for the minor.
- Students may not use courses to satisfy requirements in multiple English minors and/or major programs of study.
- A student may not minor in applied linguistics if they major in English, B.A. English as a Second Language Concentration .
- A student may not minor in applied linguistics if they major in English, B.A. Linguistics Concentration .

University Undergraduate Minor Policies
Salisbury University minors require:
- The completion of at least 18 credits with grades of C or better.
- At least 15 credits applied toward the minor must be coursework that is not used to satisfy General Education requirements.
- At least 9 credits must be earned at SU.
Minor Course Requirements
Please Note: Any 300-/400-level course (4 credits) with a Language/Linguistics focus from another track/discipline may replace a Group B course if approved by faculty in the linguistics concentration and the English Department chair.
