Law, Justice and Advocacy Minor

Advisement for the minor is available from the Interdisciplinary Studies Program or Political Science  Department.

This minor is an interdisciplinary study that focuses on a number of law-related topics. Students must take IDIS 245  or POSC 245  as well as one course from each of five areas. These include advocacy, legal rights and the courts, perspectives on law, justice and equality, and experiential/internship.

  • For the experiential/internship area, students must enroll in four credits (three for CADR 400 ) and work with the minor coordinator and the appropriate department chair to develop an internship relevant to the minor.

  • Three of the five courses must be from different disciplines.

  • Grades of C or better are required in all courses applicable to the minor.

University Undergraduate Minor Policies


Salisbury University minors require:

  • The completion of at least 18 credits with grades of C or better.
  • At least 15 credits applied toward the minor must be coursework that is not used to satisfy General Education requirements.
  • At least 9 credits must be earned at SU.
