GEOG 317 - Atmospheric Data Analysis and Programming 4 Hour(s) Credit Theory and application of computer programming to climatological and meteorological research with particular emphasis on high-dimensional gridded atmospheric and oceanic data. Develop basic programming skills in MATLAB, NCL and NCO/CDO, as well as be introduced to the basics of Linux OS. Apply these computational skills to analyze and visualize atmospheric reanalysis, global climate model and gridded observation datasets. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week. Prerequisites GEOG 201 .
