ENGL 417 - Writer’s Craft 4 Hour(s) Credit The capstone course of the creative writing track. Designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of their chosen genre (poetry, fiction or nonfiction) and to learn how to “professionalize” as writers by gaining experience in the fields of teaching and publishing, as well as writing. Workshop and complete publication-ready creative and critical work in preparation for graduate study and contextualize writing within a creative heritage. Three hours per week with enhancement. Prerequisites ENGL 496 or ENGL 498 or approval of instructor.
