ART 329 - Alternative Processes in Photography

Gain an introduction to 19^th century photographic processes with a 21^st century flair through alternative and experimental photographic techniques. Processes may include cyanotype, pinhole, gum bichromate, mordancage, vandyke brown, ziatype (palladium), lumens, salt printing, and wet plate collodion with special emphasis placed on sustainable art-making practices and environmental consciousness through use of natural, organic, and repurposed materials and techniques. Learn through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, lab work, and critique.
