ART 229 - Introduction to Darkroom Photography 4 Hour(s) Credit Learn to see photographically and begin to build a personal aesthetic through an exploration of the basic tools, techniques, and aesthetics of analog black and white photography, with an emphasis on creative use of camera controls, darkroom developing, and printing. Stresses the application of the elements and principles of composition through traditional photographic assignments. Address the “language of photography” through exploration medium. 35mm film camera loans are available. Appropriate for non-art majors and art students in all tracks. Six hours per week. Major Prerequisites ART 121 , ART 130 , and ART 202 or ART 203
