NURS 425 - Nursing of Childrearing Families Clinical 1.5 Hour(s) Credit Prepares beginning practitioners to provide nursing care services to children and adolescents, and their families in a variety of rural health settings. Develop the knowledge, psychomotor skills and professional values to function as responsible members of the health care team. Learn to apply the nursing process to the care of children and adolescents. Therapeutic nursing interventions are based on current research, developmental and family theories, and concepts from natural, behavioral and nursing sciences. Clinical practice is guided by the use of critical thinking and therapeutic communication skills. Nine hours per week Prerequisites NURS 310 , NURS 311 , NURS 312 , NURS 319 Corequisites NURS 424 May Not Receive Credit for Both NURS 425 and NURS 423 Spring Only
