HIST 363 - Japanese Civilization

Delve into the full diversity of Japanese history and culture from its origins until approximately the year 1800. Become familiar with major themes of Japan in the pre-modern period, including its rich philosophical and religious traditions, and how these traditions were reinterpreted as Japan faced new challenges in the medieval and early modern world.
