GEOL 206 - Introduction to Geologic Principles 4 Hour(s) Credit A comprehensive look at the important geologic principles professional geoscientists use to describe and interpret the geology of the Earth. Includes a study of sedimentary rocks, stratigraphic principles, relative and absolute dating techniques, fossil identification, plate tectonics, and mountain building. One weekend field trip is required. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week. Prerequisites GEOL 103 with C or better Spring Only
