ENGL 379 - Literature of the Harlem Renaissance 4 Hour(s) Credit Study in literature written by American authors during the Harlem Renaissance period, beginning with the key concept of the period, W.E.B. DuBois’ Double Consciousness. Readings include, but not limited to, the poetry of Hughes, McKay, Bennet, Fauset and Cullen; the fiction of Nugent, Fisher, Toomer, Larsen and Walter White. Three hours per week with enhancement. Met General Education Prior to Fall 2024 IB Prerequisites C or better in ENGL 103
