HIST 601 - Methods of Historical Research 3 Hour(s) Credit Students will examine first hand the vast original documentation relating to the Lower Delmarva Peninsula at the Nabb Research Center and what sort of social, political, educational, economic, religious or cultural material(s) may be included in each record type. Familiarity with 17th and 18th century language and handwriting (similar to learning a foreign language) must also be included to understand the documents. Research and interpretation will focus on creating a more complete picture of what life was like during the century after initial settlement of the Lower Eastern Shore area. Three hours per week. May be taken only once.
