Middle East Studies Minor

Advisement for the minor is available from the History  Department of the Political Science  Department.

Requirements for the minor consist of:

  • Earn grades of C or better in all courses taken for the minor.
  • No more than 1 course in the minor may be used to satisfy General Education requirements.

University Undergraduate Minor Policies


Salisbury University minors require:

  • The completion of at least 18 credits with grades of C or better.
  • At least 15 credits applied toward the minor must be coursework that is not used to satisfy General Education requirements.
  • At least 9 credits must be earned at SU.

Complete the Following (2 courses):


Complete the following 2 courses at SU or another pre-approved Middle Eastern foreign language taught at another university:

Complete 3 from the Following (3 courses):


Must come from at least 2 different departments.

* When offered with a Middle Eastern-focused topic.

Study Abroad/Experiential Requirement (1 course)


Complete at least 1 pre-approved study abroad program (minimum 3 credits) or one pre-approved experiential learning experience (minimum 3 credits):
