Advisement for the minor is available from the Secondary and Physical Education Department.
The special education teaching minor equips pre-service educators with the knowledge and skills to support diverse learners with disabilities through inclusive education, effective teaching strategies and practical experiences, aligning with Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) standards and preparing them for the Praxis Special Education 5355 assessment.
This minor is only available to student in the following majors:

University Undergraduate Minor Policies
Salisbury University minors require: - The completion of at least 18 credits with grades of C or better.
- At least 15 credits applied toward the minor must be coursework that is not used to satisfy General Education requirements.
- At least 9 credits must be earned at SU.

- SCED 385 Assessment of Students with Disabilities 3 Hour(s) Credit
- SCED 388 Special Education Minor Internship 3 Hour(s) Credit
