European Studies Minor

Minor Coordinator: Dr. Kristen Walton • 410-543-6502

Advisement for the minor is available from the History  Department.

The European studies minor is an interdisciplinary area studies program with a study abroad requirement, as well as the opportunity to complete most of the minor via a semester abroad at a foreign SU partner institution.

  • At least 1 course for the minor must be completed while studying in an European country.

  • No more than 9 transfer credits may count toward the minor. (Note: Students may count 4 courses/16 credits completed via the semester-long Salisbury Abroad: Estonia program toward the minor, as these are not transfer credits, but SU courses executed abroad via SU’s partner institution in Europe.)

  • Earn grades of C or better in all courses taken for the minor.

  • Only one course may be used to meet a General Education requirement.

Checklist

This checklist is an unofficial tool for planning. Matriculated students and advisors should consult the Academic Requirements Report in GullNet before and after registering for classes each semester to track academic progress.
