ENGL 430 - Principles of Linguistics 4 Hour(s) Credit Detailed study of the primary linguistic systems, including phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax and pragmatics. Introduces important sociolinguistic research concerns. As the course is designed for teachers in training, students apply those linguistic concepts to practical language learning problems. Three hours per week with enhancement. Prerequisites C or better in ENGL 103 .
