SOWK 640 - Field Instruction I 3 Hour(s) Credit The first of a two-semester sequence of supervised experience in the delivery of social services where students are required to participate in an agency-based field practicum for two days a week under the supervision of an agency-based M.S.W. field instructor. Successful completion of the two-course sequence requires a student to fulfill a minimum of 440 hours of field instruction within the same social welfare agency accumulated across the two semesters. Two working days per week. Corequisites SOWK 616 . Pre or Corequisites SOWK 620 , admission to graduate social work program. A seminar with small group discussions on field experiences with related written assignments and activities conducted concurrently.
