FYS ENG19 - Conspiracy Theory in American Culture

Explore the cultural history of conspiracy theory and its artistic accomplices in American society. Examine various modes of conspiracies real and imagined - pseudoscience, secret societies, folk science fiction, government malfeasance - as a special kind of narrative folklore that is both a habit of the human condition but also a peculiar phenomenon entangled in the fabric of the American identity and experience.
