FYS ART11 - Luminosity: Exploring Light-Sensitive Materials, Science, Communication, Ethics, and the Environment 4 Hour(s) Credit Gain an interdisciplinary introduction to the world of light-sensitive materials and their applications in science, art, and communication. By combining hands-on experimentation with critical analysis, explore how light interacts with various materials like photographic film, photochromic compounds, and optoelectronic devices. Learn about the scientific principles governing light, including reflection, refraction, and polarization, and apply these concepts in real-world contexts. Six hours per week Meets General Education: First Year Seminar (FYS) May Not Receive Credit for Both if a second FYS is taken. Taking a second FYS will replace the original FYS grade, regardless of topic.
