CADR 242 - Principles and Practice of Arbitration

Explore arbitration as a critical social institution, examining how it is both a product of and a solution to societal issues. Through applied social science, analyze the fundamental principles and practical applications of arbitration, addressing complex disputes in areas such as contracts, labor relations, consumer rights, and international relations. Through an emphasis on interconnected learning, become empowered to recognize and analyze how ideas and concepts regarding justice, fairness, and power dynamics manifest in different contexts, both on and off campus. By studying real-world case files and engaging in mock arbitration simulations, develop the knowledge and skills necessary for active citizenship and lifelong learning.
