FYS NUR01 - Navigating Your Health Care Journey as a Consumer, Student, and Professional

Gain an introduction to the health care system, advocacy, self-care, and interprofessional teamwork as a patient/client, student, and/or professional. Gain knowledge of health care literacy and health care programs at SU. A variety of teaching strategies including individual and teamwork are used to navigate through various health care topics. Assignments grow thinking, written, and oral communication skills by learning the perspectives of a consumer, student, and professional. Learn about campus resources, including the SU Libraries, Writing Center, Student Health Services, Office of Access and Accommodations, and Counseling Center that help in student success.
