ENGR 425 - Coastal Engineering Seminar

Readings and discussions about people and the coast with a focus on engineering problems and solutions. Topics include beach replenishment, swell development and surfing, seawalls, sand-bypassing, channelization, coastal renewable energy, and dealing with pollution. Requires readings, active participation and class presentations. One required Saturday field trip.

Prerequisites Six credits of physics and/or engineerring and junior standing
