NURS 380 - Psychiatric Mental Health 3 Hour(s) Credit Explore theory related to the prevention and nursing care of psychosocial problems, including aspects of DEI, among individuals living with mental health needs and their families. Emphasis is placed on communication with clients across both community and hospital settings, particularly focusing on mental health needs in rural areas. Address the provision of equitable and inclusive mental health care to all age groups, giving special consideration to marginalized populations, cultural competence, and recognizing and addressing biases to reduce stigma. Three hours per week. Meets General Education: Diversity and Inclusion (DI) Prerequisites NURS 310 , NURS 311 , NURS 312 , NURS 319 with C or better Corequisites NURS 381 Pre or Corequisites NURS 329 with C or better
