HIST 335 - Modern Latin America 1800-Present 4 Hour(s) Credit Survey of Latin American history from the age of independence to the present. Examines themes of hemispheric importance, including the challenges of building new nations, industrialization and the growth of global capitalism, emerging nationalisms and populism, Cold War revolutions and repression, struggles for human rights, and issues of security and violence.
