COMM 495 - Internship in Communication


4-8 Hour(s) Credit
Provides practical experience in the application of theoretical concepts including broadcasting, theatre, journalism, organizational communication, public relations, training, etc., in a professional context and under the close mentorship of communication faculty and on-site supervisor(s). Substantial oral and written products are required as well. Only four hours may be counted toward the major. Students opting for COMM 495 as a core requirement must take a minimum of four credits.

Prerequisites C or better in COMM 101 , COMM 102 , junior standing, track core courses, 2.5 overall G.P.A., 3.0 G.P.A. in COMM, one COMM faculty recommendation, and permission of the department
May be taken twice for a total of eight credit hours.
May Not Receive Credit for Both COMM 495 and CMAT 495
