FYS IDS03 - Acadia to Assateague: Exploration and Comparison of Coastal Communities and Envrionments

An interdisciplinary course comparing the coastal regions of Acadia, Mount Desert Island, ME, and Assateague and Ocean City, MD. A 10-day field study component focuses on Acadia National Park and the surrounding towns. During the fall semester, explore Assateague Seashore and Ocean City, MD, comparing obstacles and opportunities presented to both.
Three hours per week with enhancement
Meets General Education: First Year Seminar (FYS)
May Not Receive Credit for Both FYS IDS03 and IDIS 100. Students may not receive credit for two FYS courses. Taking a second FYS will replace the original FYS grade, regardless of topic.
