HONR 499 - College of Health and Human Services Honors Interprofessional Collaboration Experiential Capstone 3 Hour(s) Credit Examine interprofessional collaborative health care teams and identify how collaborative practice enhances the health care experience, improves population health and reduces health care costs. Investigate the process of team development and explore the behaviors, practices and essential characteristics that exemplify effective collaborative teamwork in a variety of health care settings. With a focus on the Interprofessional Education Collaborative Expert Panel’s (IPEC) Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice, critically appraise the process of team development and collaborative team practices within ones own health care team. The course must be completed with a B or better to fulfill the Honors Program requirement. Students are expected to be concurrently enrolled in a clinical, internship or practicum, which includes field work in their chosen CHHS major.
