SPAN 312 - Spanish in the Community 4 Hour(s) Credit Unlock your potential to serve and connect with the growing Latino community. Designed for Spanish majors/minors with additional interests in social work, health care, education, sociology, and political sciences. Through a combined study of language skills, cultural studies, and community service become prepared for real-world impact. Topics include Latino/a demographics, cultures, communities, work opportunities, and local uses of Spanish. Taught in Spanish. Requires outside service-learning work. Three hours per week with enhancement. Meets General Education: Humanity in Context (HIC) Pre or Corequisites SPAN 201
