PSYC 304 - Research Methods 4 Hour(s) Credit Explore and practice research, writing, and oral communication skills designed to enlighten and provide reflective analysis about the diversity of our social world. Emphasis is placed on collecting, communicating, and analyzing data and literature; the balance between qualitative and quantitative methods; and criteria for evaluating information. Additionally, through instruction in research design and the application of the scientific method to psychology, learn to evaluate the validity of claims about behavior and mental processes that appear in media and scientific literature, to design and conduct psychological research, and to report on the results using APA style. Three hours per week with enhancement. Meets General Education: Experiential Learning (EL) Prerequisites PSYC 220 .
