NURS 694 - Doctoral Practice Experience

A student-directed, faculty-advised practice experience that complements learning in D.N.P. coursework. Provides clinical or nonclinical immersion opportunities with a preceptor that merge nurse education essentials (i.e., domains) and advanced-level competencies with personal scholarly goals. Required for students needing additional practicum hours to meet the 1,000 hours post-baccalaureate requirement for the D.N.P.
5-10 hours per week
Prerequisites Pre-approval by the Graduate Program director and faculty advisor
Course may be repeated for a total of six credits.
