HIST 313 - History of Scotland as an Independent Kingdom

Survey Scottish history from the age of the Picts and Roman contact through the fall of Bonnie Prince Charlie at Culloden in 1746. Emphasizes the creation of a Scottish state, Scottish religious and cultural developments, and the path toward the Union of the Crowns and the creation of a United Kingdom with England.
