HLTH 220 - Environmental Health

Learn about environmental health and its impact on human health. Explore foundational environmental sustainability concepts, disease ecology and related agents, and environmental health policy’s legal, economic and regulatory dimensions. Also cover various environmental conditions and hazards directly related to human health in which ecological agents of disease may be found. Such environmental conditions and hazards include air quality, water quality, hazardous wastes, food safety, occupational health and unintentional injuries. Learn about the sources and pathways of environmental hazards and disease ecology, their health effects, and strategies for prevention and control.
