Law, Justice and Advocacy Minor

Advisement for the minor is available from the Interdisciplinary Studies Program or Political Science  Department.

This minor is an interdisciplinary study that focuses on a number of law-related topics. Students must take IDIS 245  as well as one course from each of five areas. These include advocacy, legal rights and the courts, perspectives on law, justice and equality, and experiential/internship.

  • For the experiential/internship area, students must enroll in four credits (three for CADR 400 ) and work with the minor coordinator and the appropriate department chair to develop an internship relevant to the minor.

  • Three of the five courses must be from different disciplines.

  • Grades of C or better are required in all courses applicable to the minor.

This checklist is an unofficial tool for planning. Matriculated students and advisors should consult the Academic Requirements Report in GullNet before and after registering for classes each semester to track academic progress.
