The minor in creative arts is an interdisciplinary program of study that provides students the opportunity to develop an experiential and conceptual foundation in dance, music, theatre and the visual arts. The minor requires the following:
Completion of 5 courses for a minimum of 18 credits
At least 4 courses must consist of courses not used to satisfy General Education requirements and at least 9 credits must be completed at SU.
Complete at least 3 hours from each of the 4 disciplines.
Education majors have the option of using ELED 317, Integrating Aesthetic Experiences Into Teaching And Learning, toward the 5-course (18 credit) total for the minor.
All courses must be completed with grades of C or better.
