Advisement for the minor is available from the Psychology Department.
The cognitive science minor is an interdisciplinary minor drawing on psychology, linguistics, computer science, philosophy, neuroscience and anthropology, among other fields. The study of these disciplines provides insight into how the human mind works and why it works the way it does. Cognitive scientists also are involved in cutting-edge applications: creating expert decision-making systems, programming driverless automobiles, developing educational software and predicting online purchases.
