FYS ENG02 - Rhetoric and Ethics of True Crime 4 Hour(s) Credit Discuss the rhetoric and genre conventions of true crime, as well as how true crime operates across different media. Examine concepts of ethical storytelling and assess how true crime content does or does not meet ethical standards. Engage with both rhetorical theory and scholarship, and true crime content and popular media. Think deeply and critically about true crime media, ethics, storytelling and criminal justice by using a rhetorical framework to develop thoughtful analyses. Three hours per week with enhancement Meets General Education: First Year Seminar (FYS) May Not Receive Credit for Both if a second FYS is taken. Taking a second FYS will replace the original FYS grade, regardless of topic.
