FYS GEO01 - America’s National Parks

An examination of the varied and spectacular physical environments protected within the United States National Park System. The geology, geomorphology, weather, climate and biogeography of selected parks are examined with an eye toward the continued conservation of these national treasures in a changing climate.
Three hours per week with enhancement
Meets General Education: First Year Seminar (FYS)
Met General Education Prior to Fall 2024: IVB
May Not Receive Credit for Both FYS GEO01 and GEOG 110. Students may not receive credit for two FYS courses. Taking a second FYS will replace the original FYS grade, regardless of topic.
