CADR 304 - Self-Examination in Conflict Resolution

4 Hour(s) Credit
Examine the dynamics of self-examination in conflict resolution, learning how conflicts surge from existential contradictions, from some lack of inner-self peace or from the human subjects’ internal instability. Delineate the practice of self-examination as a critical stage in any process of conflict resolution and peacemaking. Clarify the concept of self-examination in the midst of existential contradictions, and present its benefits for conflict resolution and for all parties involved in the process. Explore specific cases and take into account recent developments in local, regional and global affairs. Review ad hoc case studies in order to blend theory and practice.
