ENGL 335 - Gothic Fiction 4 Hour(s) Credit A study of the Gothic strain in English and American fiction from the late 18th through the 20th centuries-its genesis, initial manifestations, popular mutations and periodic reinvigoration. Among authors studied are Horace Walpole, Ann Radcliffe, “Monk” Lewis, Poe, James, Bram Stoker and Stephen King. Three hours per week with enhancement. Met General Education Prior to Fall 2024: IB Prerequisites C or better in ENGL 103 .
